Thanks once again for a rapid response. We've recently enabled
SAMBA on our SGI, so now our filesystems are accessible on
the PC. There was no huge project requirement for this
type of processing. I was really just trying to get a feel
for the performance of the shares from the simplest point
of view available to me. I will go ahead and test it out
using MetaCard, but from within a proper stack. My direction
will probably be to produce stacks for our file processing
anyway.
