Hi Jacqueline

I think you're being a little harsh on Metacard. It offers more 
printing support than many other programming/authoring tools.

I rarely have a need to print anything from Metacard. For my own 
needs, I prefer to export data and print from a word processor. My 
"printing trickery" comment was a reaction to a client's requirements 
rather than a comment on Metacard's abilities. I'm sure the task 
would be a slog in  other programming tools too.

Our printing needs are probably so varied that it would be hard to 
agree on even a basic set of printing features that could be 
considered essential. In general, I'm happy with "print card" and 
using invisible substacks for printing needs. If the Windows size 
problem could be solved, and perhaps a little more help in getting 
text/field measurements so we can paginate scrolling fields more 
easily, then I'll be more than content.
