Just fyi, Photoshop can be had for significantly less than $500. Quoting
from www.deal-mac.com:

Still looking for an inexpensive way to get Photoshop 5.5? A reader found
that Software BuyLine offers Adobe's ImageReady 1.0 for $163.16 with free
shipping. It's eligible for the Photoshop 5.5 / ImageReady 2.0 Upgrade,
which costs $169.95 at MacWarehouse. A $70 mail-in rebate bags a net
price of $99.95. End result: Photoshop 5.5 and ImageReady 2.0 for
$263.11, hundreds less than Photoshop 5.5's standalone price.

While we're on the subject, I use Photoshop to convert eps clipart images
to bitmaps while scaling them to the size I need. It does this very well,
and nothing else seems to be able to do it at all. (Graphic Converter
doesn't) Does anyone have a suggestion/better idea, other than using a
system with Display PostScript in the first place :-)
Thanks
