<< The question is, how do I make it so graphics on the
PC can have there outside transparent? Now, I have tried the inks and
that works on the Mac but not on the PC. I have also tried using
Photoshop to make the outside of the graphic transparent, but when I
open it in MetaCard (I saved it as a GIF) it just turns up with a white
box around it and the image is inside. >>
It sounds like your GIF isn't being saved correctly. I import GIFs all the
time with tansparent areas. I export the GIFs from Corel Photopaint or Adobe
Illustrator. They have to be in GIF 89 format which has transparency (as
opposed to GIF 87). In Illustrator, I simply check the transparent button to
make all uncolored area transparent (white IS a color, so don't confuse white
with unpainted). In Photopaint, I click the transparent option wheni export
and then select the color on the image that I want to make transparent. I
then import into MC and they appear as desired. I've used this on MC 2.2.1
and 2.2.3.
