I chose SoftWindows98 because emulation is the primary focus of Insignia.
For most things, it seems to work well and I very much enjoy the
convenient way it lets me set up shared folders between OSes.

But I bought it specifically to run MetaCard when I'm on the road, and
it's been a drag: icons and cursors draw upside down in MC in
SoftWindows, but work great on native Intel iron. :(

Scott Raney has been very helpful to the degree that he can, but it's
really something Insignia needs to look into. Three emails sent every
other week have elicted no response from Insignia. I called them this
morning and finally got a human to hear me out. Scott has generously
offered to help them resolve the issue as best they can, and I gave them
his email address and the URL to the MC Starter Kit. Let's hope they
actually use this information.

If they do, I'll be a very happy camper. If not, I'm switching emulators.

Sure would be nice if there were some hardware alternative for
PowerBooks. Emulation is okay for limited testing, but after enjoying G3
speed in the native Mac OS switching into emulated Win98 is like dropping
down to a Pentium 70MHz - kinda usable, but not for long periods.
