I'm a new subscriber to the Metacard list, having just ordered Metacard today.
Here was going to follow some QuickTime support questions - but I've
just discovered the 235A beta and it's answered all the immediate
Quicktime problems I had. Great! Did this appear on the server
today? I could swear it wasn't there when I looked at the email
archives earlier this morning.
Now that we have basic QuickTime support is becoming available, can I
put in my vote for more? The feature set of the updated HyperCard
QuickTime xcmd in HC 2.4.1 could be a possible model. In particular
the ability to get track details, and enable and disable tracks would
be useful addition to the current feature set.
Unrelated question: what are people using to display
tabular/spreadsheet data in Metacard? Does MC have an equivalent of
OMO's datasheet (database) object?
Finally, one (perhaps not so) small observation: I think the demo
introduction stack which comes with the Metacard starter kit is in
desperate need of retirement and replacement. This stack will
flavour many developer's first impressions of Metacard.
