As the owner of this list, I sent a test message to confirm that the server was working because of problems that some users had reported, and that I had noticed. I had previously used the appropriate administration commands, but was unhappy with the results I received. I consider your complaint to be inappropriate. Not only was the message necessary, but replying to "test" messages is a worse offence than sending one in the first place. And as a general note, writing text in uppercase is a breach of email etiquette, and I would request that members of this list to refrain from this practice in future. For those that don't know, writing text in upper case letters is considered equivalent to a loud, usually negative tone of voice.
