The same comment went to our VB + ODBC development.
I read somewhere in MetaCard (web site or the help files, can't recall)
supports max of 10000 cards for optimum performances. Though it is capable
to hold amount larger than that but it may not be efficient as a database
solution.
For cross-platform database development, I would like to see MetaCard to
offer a build-in database supports. But a solid database engine is not an
easy thing to come out with. I would rather see MetaCard to expend on the
card based performance, or maybe a little pseudo database commands to
manipulate cards, rather than demanding a full blown database.
