No, its not a plug-in. It can be used as a helper application - which gets
launched by the browser. Rather than doing this, I'd generally recommend
building a simple standalone that navigates your web content, and having the
user download that, rather than having the user reconfigure their browser,
unless you have good control over the delivery environment (e.g. on an
Intranet).
