Another item to add to the list of things a person developing on 
Mac should consider for deployment on Win:

(g) Add the .txt filename extension to any text files your MC stack
writes so Win users can double-click on them to open them.  In
addition, I use underscore characters instead of spaces in file and
directory names because I'm under the impression this helps Unix
users avoid having to put quotes around file and directory names
when referring to them.
