Can someone point me in the right direction for creating a splash
screen that shows briefly, then disappears to reveal the main screen
of an application. I've created a small stack as the splash, to
which I've added the other stacks as substacks. In the small splash
screen stack I've put the following handlers:
on preOpenStack
set the loc of this stack to the screenLoc
end preOpenStack
on openStack
wait 2 sec
open inv stack "Main Wd"
close me
wait 1 sec
show stack "Main Wd"
end openStack
Does this look like a good method for accomplishing this? I'm a
little uncertain about the differences between "open" and "toplevel",
as well as the use of "invisible." What experience I have with this
comes from SuperCard, and may be inappropriate with MC. Any and all
suggestions will be most appreciated!
