I've run into a crossplatform character formatting question which I hope
somebody might have an answer for: can I use a special font or some other
means to get "special" characters to display correctly on both Mac and Win
platforms?

Characters such as the umlaut (sp?) "u" with 2 dots above it are generated
differently on Mac and Win platforms. If I format the text to display
correctly on one platform, the character doesn't display right on the other.
I'm thinking there might be some kind of font out there that accommodates
this problem, but if not, have folks found any other means around this other
than using two sets of Mac and Win text files?

Thanks & Regards,

Scott
