This brings me to some questions:
1) Does the Mac Desktop DB still contain the same stuff in the newer OS
versions that it always did (back in System 7.x days)?
2) Does the Mac Desktop DB (or any other invisible file) contain info
about the current location of apps?
3) If (2) is true, what would it take to:
a) hack the Desktop DB for info until
b) MC includes access to the info
