MetaCard does have a very good set of scriptable printing functions which
should allow you to print exactly as you wish (though you do have to spend
some time getting to grips with them). Try experimenting with the ability
to print into rect, and also look at the scripts for the printing stack
(included in the standard development interface) and the scripts of the
report generator (mcrg, available on the MC ftp site at
ftp://ftp.metacard.com/MetaCard).
