yes, I now realize my mistake was not trying to do it with a script, but rather with
the menu controls...much problems there. Anyway, special thanks to Sivakatirswami
also for this simple script, which worked quite well for A4 size, though I'm in Japan
and there is still a bit of a margin at the bottom with this Asian A4 paper.

set the width of this stack to 612
set the height of this stack to 792
set the printmargins to 0,0,0,0
answer printer
print card
