Hi Geoff,

One alternative to frontscripts in a case like yours is a handler in the
stack script like the following:

on closeCard
  if (the controlKey is "down") then lock messages
end closeCard


You could then selectively prevent the "openCard" message from being
fired, which I assume would address the problem.
