It sometimes looks as if the message box had climbed higher in the
message path
than the opened stacks instead of staying at the bottom of the pile.
Then, when you hit return, the opened stacks never get a chance to intercept
your message and Metacard doesn't know what to do with them
so it is simply ignored...
