Subject: environment() ???

Hello all,

While studying the environment() function, some questions rose.

1. I opened (under MacOS) MC by double clicking on it, and got "player" from
the environment function. ? (I expected "development")
2. In de Reference, I see Plug- in" as a possible return value, but can't
set MC as a plug- in under Explorer 5 nor Netscape 4.7. ? Is this for future
purposes? If it is, I would recommend making this (possibility for a) plug-
in in the very next version, because many people understand the good things
of MC, but their problem is that another application opens, while they
expect it to work as a plug- in.

Thanks for any hints,
Sjoerd

This would be great! Thanks for considering it!

Subject: DownloadNPlay

I'm using a variant of MC's DownloadnGo to download a sound file
(.au), but on Windows (NT) I get the error "Can't read sound or movie
from file". The error points to the line "play href" in which href =
"http://www.....". Nor will "play url href" work. I do not use a
player since I do not want to bother our distance students to
download QuickTime (or am I wrong, is there no need to have QT
installed in order to use a player?). The strange thing is that on my
Mac "play href" works perfectly. Would appreciate any suggestions, I
can also send the stack (7 kB). Thanks in advance.

Regards
Signe Marie Sanne
