If you create a player object assigned to a quicktime movie and show the controller, mouseup messages are generated when the user manipulates the controller. For example, they will be generated when the user is clicking on the play/pause button. it seems to me that this behavour is undesirable. One can avoid this by using the mousedoubleup message instead of mouseup, but it is conventional for quicktime movies to toggle between play and pause with a single click.
