Didn't get that far on NT but on Linux you probably just add a line to rc.local or
similar like:
"mc /usr/sbin/mcstart.mt".
Start.mt can look like this:
#!mc
on startup
put "MetaCard started"
end startup
..and mc could be in /usr/sbin.
