Has it to do something with binary or not? I really have no idea.

I also have problems with reading and writing data from and to my Hayes
modem on Mac. I only get 'eof' all the time, and I can't write to it
neither. Any ideas?

I do read from the serial port on Win with a self-built interface, an 8 in/
8 out UART, and that does work very nice. But because I only read a byte
every time, I don't thing this is of much use. Shall I send you a copy off
list?
