Just what the doctor ordered, Gary. The "stackFiles" tutorial gives me precisely what
I need to solve my "standalones can't save" problem.
Thank you dearly, Gary (and the makers of the tutorial too), because the standalone
that I am working on *HAS* to be ready for monday-morning or else! Several hundred
students are counting on me.

Good question, worth pleading for. ;-)

A sockets-tutorial would indeed be wonderful. But let's not stop there. MetaCard has
so many hot-but-complex features that deserve to be explained in-depth, e.g. in the
form of a tutorial. I am sure that if we tried, we could come up with a sizable list
of needed-tutorials.
