MacOS menubars

I forgot to add this to my last post. Can you use mouseDown handlers to
change the contents of a menu on MacOS. I do this on windows and it works
perfectly but i noticed it wan't working on MacOS. I use it to disale lines
and such. Any help on this would be good.
