if im correct, offset if much faster. Skips the REP parsing...

I have developed some based on some original HyperCard algorithms which used
offset. They have now been upgraded to use MatchText, although this ended up
getting complicated, so they still use some offset functions.
I haven't got them on this machine, but I can email them to anyone who
writes me off-list?
