Hi all, Anyone who can help would be great... I've written a program that checks our regional servers - some take some time (10 to 20 minutes) to answer and im wondering if the delay in answering is causing a problem. The program in question checks server's information through the NT reskit command-line SRVINFO. The program runs under the scheduler (at command) and runs perfectly but stalls when it encounters somekind of timeout waiting for the information from one server in Sao Paolo or in Dubai where our lines are only 64k... Normally the program runs through all the servers and then does a send DoReport to me in (fld "TimeInterval") seconds (where the interval is 1800 seconds) The program runs with all the necessary checks... It even translates error codes when servers are not available so I know that there's no programming error on my part... Nonetheless it stalls... I have to force quit the program and reschedule it... Has anyone run into this problem? Is there a timeout for shell commands? Is the variable timeoutinterval involved? thanks for any help!
