A good point. I guess the results depend somewhat on the player. When
playing a video in WMP it apparently autostarts; under QT, the video
launches but it's up to the user to begin playback.
I initially posted this question because a client stated that when running a
video on their end, the file did not autostart. On my end, it can, so I'm
not sure how to address this.
A related question to all the above is can autostart be done on a Mac
system? I'm guessing the answer involves AppleEvents, but that's why I'll
ask first.
