I am in the process of converting a stack to MetaCard 2.3.2 from version
2.2.4 and am having a curious problem. The stack has about 20 cards which
have the same background group on them. Each card also has a few
components specific to the card. As one moves from one to the next, the
background is supposed to remain fixed so that all that one sees changing
are the card-specific items.
This stack has always behaved fine, and continues to do so on the Windows
platform. However on the Mac platform, the first card of the stack
displays all its contents about 20 pixels high.
Everything is positioned accurately relative to everything else in the
window--both the background and the card-specific items. It is just too
high. As one moves from card one to the next, everything drops down to
where I want it. As it moves from card two on through all the rest, the
behavior is as desired.
The stack behaves the same for both the "fat" Macintosh MetaCard and the
MetaCardPPC engines. Does anyone have any idea what is happening here?
