You open DropStuff. Then in File --> Preferences check the following boxes:
Stuffing --> Make self-extracting for Macintosh
BinHexing --> Encode archive into binhex format
Remove ".sit" from filename.
This results in 2 files. Just keep and upload the one with the ".hxq"
extension to your server.
The user downloads the hxq-file which is then openede and extracted,
results in 3 files of which only the one with the mc-icon should be
kept. However, I have experienced strange error messages on some
Macs, but, even stranger, if you just ignore the messages, the files
come down all right. I would be happy to find out about the messages,
anyone out there able to explain why?
