Friends and neighbors,
I have been trying to use httpTracer to watch (and learn) what MetaCard is
doing when I use it to do implicit and explicit POSTs and GETs. ("load url
tUrl" being an implicit "GET.")
Well, I can watch my POSTs and GETs, but only some of them are "going
through" to their real hosts.
Let me explain...
When I set the httpProxy to my localHost (127.0.0.1) and port 8080 (so I can
use httpTracer), MetaCard can no long load urls like it did prior to setting
the httpProxy.
MetaCard seems to remember only the last host and thinks all other "load
url" commands are using directories off of that one host. It ignores the
host that's in the url! It seems to "remember" only the last host I used
before setting the httpProxy.
Has anyone encountered this? Is this a sign from a higher power that I
should be using sockets and forget all the high level "load url tURL" stuff?
I'm using Win32 (Windows 2000 Professional).
