Hi all, I troubled this list some weeks ago with reports on strange behaviour when moving from MacOS to Windows. My stacks have now started to work again and although I haven't managed to replicate the exact circumstances for my problems I would like to issue the following warning: NEVER use the crossed-over equal sign in your scripts (use <> instead for the not equal operator) for ANY purpose (not even within quoted text). Although it seems to work under MacOS it seems like loads of unrelated scripts starts to fail under Windows (this could be the reason why all my function calls stopped working). That the crossed over = sign can do strange things is likely from the following behaviour on MacOS: Open a script and press apple-F (i.e. start a search). Then try to type the crossed-over = sign. It won't appear where you might expect it to appear. Rather than appearing in your search-string it appears in the script! /mattias PS My problems appeared in MetaCard 2.3.2 Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Info: http://www.xworlds.com/metacard/mailinglist.htm Please send bug reports to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, not this list.
