I've been trying to get two projects to talk by having a script sent from
one project take affect in the other project. For example, it may look
something like this:
Open Connnection to "10.1.1.5" over port 80
sendAndRun "Put" && quote &"This is some text from the other project." &
quote && "into cd fld 1 of theOtherProject of 10.1.1.5"
Close Connection to "10.1.1.5" over port 80
I've tried doing this in SuperCard and you have use AppleEvents, the
machines have to have file sharing set up, application sharing box has to be
checked, etc, etc...
I recently noticed that Metacard/Revolution now has an OpenSocket,
CloseSocket, etc., etc... command...
Would this be the kind of script I would need to use to do this? If, so
does someone have an example, say similar to the one above?
Or am I way off base with the "socket" script thing?
