Thanks for the clarification. This then is not a "bug" but intended
behavior....

Well, certainly the group text feature would be a "way cooler" solution...
especially as we see that the clicktext will assume breaks on any kind of
punctuation, even hyphens.. problem is I heavily edit the fields these
strings are in... and if you back space over a endline where the line above
is group text, or back space up to group text so that no space is there..
suddenly the group style "extends" to adjacent characters to which is was
not originally applied ..and my link breaks.. ... what is needed is for it
to "stick" to the string that it was applied to, regardless of what kind of
text manipulation might be occurring before or after the string to which it
was applied. There in lies the challenge, which could be simply my ignorance
about it... also cutting an pasting group styled text works, but with
similar caveats. I would have to go back and revisit those attempts to get
a more precise recipe of the problems...

Suspect the engine is tracking some kind of chunk expression for the strings
that have the group text applied to them, and that this is too "delicate"
relative to the text changes I am making and easily corrupted or
changed...perhaps if one understood the precise method of such tracking one
could avoid messing up the group styled strings? The other, and no less
significant, issue is "forwarding" text to the "future--as soon as you pass
group style text through a variable you lose the style. "Install Synergy
HiRes PDF engine on new work station" grouped/linked to a card with all the
necessary related info gets "wiped" when forwarded via script control to
Sept 1st on the calendar... Rather than rise up to those challenges,
(undoubtedly surmountable with a little more creative scripting)... I
reverted back to my earlier method... but now may have to climb that
mountain after all.
