How come this works? That is as far as I can see the only message that gets
sent when an object is selected (with the pointer) is
"selectedObjectChanged" - mouseUp's etc are all blocked. How does this work
(ie the menu pop up when the mouse is up)?
More generally it would be great to have a "turnMessagesOn" property - so
that you could script authoring and painting apps more easily. Palettes are
OK, but there are times that you want to interact with the mouse (double
click for instance), and their are times when too many floating palettes
make it hard to design clean interfaces.
