I arrived at cortlandt street at about 8:40 and while I was walking to school for the test I witnessed the explosion of the first plane crash..everyone ran including me as it was so loud I thought it was a nuclear bomb. Minutes later all subways were closed..and I wasn't able to get out so I walked around the chubb area looking for classmates..none found. After that I heard a loud bang, and I was caught in all the smoke and rushed towards the city of new york building, terrified that it would be bombed too. Well I found some guys going to brooklyn, and because my cell phone power ran out I had to ask people for change. I watched the whole pentagon thing on CNN in the building. After like an hour we headed towards the brooklyn bridge me limping (cause I had foot surgery recently). I met help me a friend and classmate of mine on the bridge and he helped me across the bridge. Transportation was hell..but I managed to meet someone else going to brooklyn and after two hours. My friend and I talked for some time about getting out of new york..maybe moving to switzerland. But on reflection I realize that no place is safe from terrorism until all civilized countries unite and stand against it.
