Thanks to those who replied to my message. We have solved the problem. We
solved the problem related to storing the student answers by setting full
permission on the server (including the delete permission; we had not
included this permission in our previous testing).
I believe we have also solved the mystery of only 25 out 32 computers being
able to access the program, even though we have not yet tried. We realized
that the error reported by the 26th and 27th, etc. computers had nothing to
do with metacard but with a files misisng from our server. The students in
that case had to just click ok on the window reporting the errors and then
restart metacard. I guess they did not do that and I did not bother
checking the problem becasue I was busy with the problem 1.
To answer those who asked me the structure of the test, this is my reply.
The stack are downloaded from the server each time they are used. The
answers are stored on each of the downloaded stacks (one stack for every
exercise). The student can go from one exercise to the other at any time
and change his/her answers. Once they finish the test, the program will
create a file with the student answers and store it on the server. If the
computer freezes or the program is closed illegally, when the stack is
restarted all the answer will be recovered with a password.
Thanks again to all those who have helped.
