The problem was that there was a bug in MC2.4b2 where MC only recognized Applescript 
(as an optional language for the do command) if you had more than one OSA scripting 
component installed on your system (for example, frontier and applescript).  I haven't 
tested this but I expect this bug has been corrected in 2.4b3.
