I solved my myterious problem in getting my "portal Engine" to down load the portal stack... I was wrongly setting some HTTP headers...the fixed standalone was tested on a Mac and also in Virtual PC...everything seems to work perfectly. These are all 2.3.2 engines and stacks...But now I am getting a new report from PC users on a very simple stack.
"2.When I tried to go to another Mystic Mouse page--I got a box caption--you have performed an illegal operation and this program will be closed down. 3. when I clicked on Join the Mystic Mouse--again the caption--you have performed an illegal operation and this program will be closed down." The Mystic Mouse stack does a very simple thing: it builds a URL, passes this to a stack script that loads the URL, then sets an image to that URL data, to display one "cartoon" page... and works here just fine in Virtual PC . Does the StandAlone builder with 2.3.2 make engines fully compatible with the latest flavors of Windoz? There is some new thing called "Millenium" that people are running on their PC's...
