The Linux Intel engine isn't being dropped (nor will likely ever be),
it's the LinuxPPC engine that we've discontinued. Support for that
platform has largely dried up since OS X was released. Note that we
also have a Darwin engine that runs completely on the BSD side of OS
X, including support for the X11 GUI.
