Thanks Scott, the rawKeyDown handler is working perfectly. I presume that the code (65309 for scroll wheel up, 65308 for scroll wheel down) is the same using different mice and different operating systems. Now to figure out a way to accelerate the scrolling as OS X 10.2 does natively...
