just put the following scripts in your home stack script and voila... on CloseStack CompactStack AutoSave pass CloseStack end CloseStack
on CompactStack astack if astack is empty then compact this stack else compact stack astack end CompactStack on AutoSave -- if the hilite of btn "autosave" of stack "home" and the shiftkey is up then if the mode of the topstack is 1 then save the topstack -- end if end AutoSave If you are used to HyperCard this puts you back into those warm waters... Anyone know of an easy way to determine if a stack was modified without taking inventory of everything? > -----Original Message----- > From: Axel Buchner [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: 04 December 2002 14:49 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Yet another bad bug > > > Has anyone note this: > > Under Mac OS X 10.2.2: > > Scenario 1: > > (1) Work on a stack (e.g. add buttons and text fields) > (2) Quit MetaCard > > MetaCard will quit without asking whether changes should be saved! > > Scenario 2: > > (1) Work on a stack (e.g. add buttons and text fields) > (2) Save the stack > (3) While the "Save" dialog is visible, hit command-q > > MetaCard will quit instantaneously without having saved anything! > > Am I the only one suffering from these fundamental problems? > > If I am not, then how can you guys live with this? > > Are these problems exclusive to Mac OS X 10.2.2? > > These are very elementary bugs.
