I've often seen this behavior on Mac systems as well, and tried to bug
report it in RunRev's system, but last I checked I'm not sure there was any
resolution to the problem.
unfortunately there is no solution in the near future :-( I know because: I reported the bug, or am watching the reporter! Well, the first one ;-)
Tuviah is talking about some kind of "kisok mode that some OSes provide"?
