Firewalls and proxies can be a big problem for software developers. There is a setting called "the httpProxy" you might want to take a look at in Rev (don't know if it exists in MC).
Also, the latest version of libURL supports Basic Authentication and NTLM authentication (PC only, using our NTLM.dll). You need to find out from your sysAdmin what type of authentication you are using and then see if you can authenticate against it.
