MC's control browser and property palettes are the single, number one reason I stay with MC during the layout and design phase. Rev simply doesn't offer an equivalent. If I had time, I'd port the MC control browser over. I wish someone would.

One thing that baffled me... I could not find detailed info on the various preferences for building a standalone.

All the IDE interface stuff got moved recently to the PDF User Guide. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the standalone builder is in there.

Not sure what you need to know, but you can always ask on the Rev list. It is still up and running, though very slow today -- probably because of the U.S. holiday weekend. But go ahead and write to it, at least that'll tell you whether posts are going through.
