Aplologies this message was meant for all but I replied directly to Björnke

On the Mac that I tested it on (OSX 10.4.11 Intel) the glyph remains
circular no matter how much I resize the control. If I make it tall enough
it becomes a vertical slider but it never displays a shield shaped glyph.

The engine is the engine, whichever IDE it's used in. Supporting
MetaCard simply means supporting the documented engine behaviors.
Anything MC relies on is likely being used by others as well, so
there's nothing extra required for them to support MC other than to
support their customers.

Yes, but do you see this phenomenon on OS X?

I only see it when running the 2.8.1 engine under Leopard. When I run
2.9, it looks fine for me.

Klaus

No problems with OSX 10.4.11 for me.
However, the glyph is different on the control (circular not shield).

You may be right, but the behaviour on Klaus' system is manifestly different depending on the IDE he is using, therefore something is different and this difference can only be in either the way the engine presents the control or
the way the IDE displays the control. If it was the OS surely the control
would be correct (or incorrect) in both IDEs.

You have to make it a bit taller to get the shield-like one, as that
only shows when there's space for the scale. I don't have a metacard
installation right now, but once i have one, i'll test this.

Dag Wil,

I have exactly the same problem; both on Tiger and Leopard; both in
the development environment and as standalone (rev engine 2.8.1; MC
IDE 2.8.4).

Maar dat is niet mijn probleem :-D

Problem is that this was a bug in 2.8.1 and should be fixed in 2.9x!
