I was happily working away in MC, then I shut down and rebooted into my Leopard install. Tried to open MC, it asked for reg info. Fair enough, I thought, since I hadn't run MC over on that partition in several builds.

So I entered my reg info, and MC started to start, then quit. I tried again, same thing. Rev, however, launches fine.

So I rebooted into my normal OS X 10.4.11 partition, and tried to open MC. Now it won't launch there either.

Damn. I have a lot of work to do.

Any clues as to how I can get MC running again? WTF went wrong?

Fixed, but still mystified.

Apparently if you attempt to register a Rev app (whether it's named MC or Rev), it will screw with the home stack. In Rev apparently this isn't a problem, but with my MC Home stack it was.

I replaced my MC Home stack with a backup and now I'm back in business.

Note: NEVER NEVER NEVER register from within MC. ALWAYS register in Rev first.

Damn. An hour lost. Oh well, I've had worse....
