i´ve just tried the setup-stack with Rev 2.9 studio. Worked without problems.
I can start and use the Metacard ide. Only building a standalone results in an
error, that
the Metacard.exe is not a MetaCard engine. Does this result from my studio
license?

What you need is a file named "Standalone" which is used instead of the MC
engine to build standalones.
You can find that file in the "Runtime" folder (at least of the Rev Enterprise version,
but maybe with "Studio", too?)
