Hi everyone,

Jumping in late, I'm going to respond the the first message by Hampus
and hopefully include as much of the comments already made. Here are my
thoughts:

#1 Get rid of <files>
I don't think it makes parsing really that much easier and I quite liked
this tag because it build a kind of directory structure. I envisioned
that at a later time it may form into a directory like container
allowing people to select groups of files they want based on their
metadata or something (like say a collection of songs and their lyrics
files etc. Where you could choose to download the songs but not the text
etc.). Even though that may never catch on, I'm not really convinced by
"easier to parse" yet. So I'm voting this down.

#2 remove "piece" attribute from piece hashes
As most, I agree. Even though Tatsuhiro's aria2 does use it, that only
shows that he creates proper software. I think most clients won't and
therefore it can be removed. One up!

#3 Change 3: Remove (and forget about!) meta data inheritance
I think Anthony already did this now, but I still want to say that I
agree and love the fact that everything continues at a healthy pace
despite of my absence! Keep it up!

#4 Change 4: Add meta data about the metalink (i.e. about the whole
metalink as such)
I love the dublin core, and I think that's the way to go. They are
already doing a good job at at that it may allow search engines like
Google to pick up the metadata automatically. One up, and DC please.

Greets,
  Bram
