Hi everybody, A (long) time ago, I created metamirrors with the idea that combining hash files from various hosts (MD5SUMS etc), I could build a database and generate metalinks. The system is still (kind off) online here: http://metamirrors.nl/node/1
Well, that system is old and nobody wanted to use it because it's an obvious side-project. So I've now decided to try it again using the Google App Engine :D http://metamirrors.appspot.com/ (Actually, I couldn't wait with doing something on the App Engine and this was a good way to start.) I've just uploaded the first release, so there are going to be mayor issues (probably) and I'm probably going to clean up the database sometime in the future to get a clean start. What I would love to hear from everybody is: - What features would help metalink adoption the most? - Any problems you can foresee? - Anything you would like it todo for you?
