here are 4 ideas or things that could use a little love, gentle tap, or push in the right direction if anyone has time:
1) help test wget metalink support https://github.com/jy987321/Wget/tree/metalink it's using libmetalink & supports Metalink/XML & Metalink/HTTP along with signature checking 2) metalink-chrome-extension : Download 100% but still "Downloading" https://code.google.com/p/metalink-chrome-extension/issues/detail?id=31 "Download should not say 100% until the download has completed." from what I remember, Google Code is being phased out. maybe now's the time to move this to github too? it would be great if this chrome extension worked really well since it's a good way for Chrome users to try out Metalink, & for us to get closer to native support in Chrome. 3) curl Metalink/HTTP support, signature checking now that wget is getting these features, it would be great if curl had them too. especially Metalink/HTTP, because curl is so widespread & it can be implemented without the need of an extra library & could be compiled by default eventually. 4) DownThemAll! 3.0 final release this has been a long time work in progress, hopefully it will be release ready soon! -- (( Anthony Bryan ...
