Sounds like you guys have MetalWeb 4.0. I'm currebntly running V3.8
(same registration key works on both) and find it to be MUCH more
stable than 4.0. My understanding is that they were trying to rebuild
the GUI between the two and that is where most of the stability
problem lies.
That's not to say that 3.8 is rock-solid. It will still hang on me
(about once a programming session). And a printed manual would still
be nice (gives me a chance to look up problems when I have time - but
am not at the computer). But, compared to the cost in time and dollars
to learn HTML (or to have somebody else build the webpage for me), I
think its worth the registration fee.
I'm using it to build the Web page for our magazine, "the NEW AMIGANS"
and have only had a few minor problems (other than operator
stupidity).
You can check us out at http://get.to/t.n.a . Let me know what you
think.
